Be proud of your achievements
May 12, 2014
I have a friend who is forever comparing himself to others and feeling inadequate along the way.
Sadly he is missing the point. For it's not what others do that matters, but what we do ourselves.
Each and every one of us has much to contribute in our own unique way.
Instead of thinking about others and comparing we should be using our energy to appreciate all that we have achieved ourselves.
If you're stuck for ideas, a good way to celebrate success is to write a list of your achievements at the end of each day. And be mindful to write it all down, even the small stuff like cooking, cleaning, socialising etc. You'll be surprised just how much you achieve in a day.
Focus on what you HAVE done, not what you haven't.
And don't wait until something big happens.
Celebrate the small things each and every day.
Your life matters, and what you achieve, big or small is worth something!
Be proud of who you are and all you achieve in a day.

This sort of mindfulness not only makes you feel good - it can also drive your desire to set and achieve more goals in life. Once you honour all that you do, goals tend to cement themselves and before you know it you're on the path to achieving it all, small and big.
Positivity breeds positivity - so be positive about your everyday achievements and smile because everything you do matters.
