Bliss - find it now

October 15, 2013

The dictionary definition of BLISS is: supreme happiness; utter joy or contentment.

So how often do you feel bliss - true heavenly euphoria?

Do you allow it into your life? Or are you too busy; too involved with all your domestic and social responsibilities - I know I am.

But today I am making a stand!!! And it's all about Bliss, and finding ways to enjoy it.

What is it that makes you truly happy? What brings you pure delight?

I suggest we take the time to discover what it is that brings us inner peace and happiness.

It doesn't have to be grand - in fact it's often the simple things that give us serene joy.

If there's one thing the last few years has taught me, it's that life is short and things can change at any moment. Sometimes life as we know it comes crashing down with such velocity that it stuns us into realising that NOW is all we have. YES, this very moment. So embrace it with bliss. Find your inner joy and give yourself at least one little thing each day that brightens your soul.

Stuck for ideas. Here's some inspiration:

  • Sit DOWN ladies (YES YOU) and enjoy that cup of tea, UNINTERRUPTED!!! - no dishwashing, laundry duty or child minding allowed - just YOU and your cup of tea!!!
  • Share a beverage and a chat with your partner at the end of the day. Find the sparkle in each other's eyes again.
  • Grant yourself the time to do something that matters to you - yoga, painting, reading, writing, calling a friend, going for a walk, lazing on a beach, etc
  • Do something truly indulgent for only you - perhaps a movie, a night out with friends, a massage, a night away (now you're talking).

Give a little, give a lot, give yourself BLISS.
Discover yours and treat yourself at least once a day to something that makes you SHINE!!!

Lecture over - now get on with it!
Write and practice your "Bliss List" today!
